This hand-made silver chain necklace uses "double bowtie" links with round links in-between. The double bowtie links are formed by twisting soldered-shut ellipses around their middle axis by a full 360 degrees. This particular chain is made out of 16 gauge sterling silver round wire. It is 26 inches long and used up roughly 7 feet of wire. There are over 60 individually soldered joints. The soldered clasp is made out of 14 gauge Sterling square wire. The chain weighs slightly over 1 troy ounce.

We created this chain in our studio out of over 1.5 ounces of 14 gauge Sterling silver round wire. All joins have been individually soldered. The clasp is made hand-formed out of 14 gauge Sterling square wire, adding a striking detail to the piece. This chain is very comfortable to wear and wonderfully smooth.
